Unlike the majority of hit counters, web trackers and other web statistics services, HitsLog offers outgoing links analysis. Using outgoing links statistics you can
- learn which of your outgoing links are most interesting for your visitors
- keep track of the number of documents and files being loaded
- determine whether the link exchange with other resources is advantageous for you
In order to use outgoing links statistics you need to add prefix
http://hitslog.com/out.php?url=
to required URL.
That is if you have URL
http://www.domain/path/page.htm
then it must be changed to
http://hitslog.com/out.php?url=http://www.domain/path/page.htm
Otherwise we offer to place 'out.php' script on your server. This prevents outgoing links becoming inaccessible in case our server is shutdown (which is very unlikely). In that case, the page's URL
http://www.domain/path/page.htm
should be replaced with
http://www.domain/scriptpath/out.php?url=http://domain/path/page.htm
